If you do not see your preferred FFL pickup location listed, please email us the name of the FFL and the city and state where it is located. We will contact the dealer directly to arrange shipping.
The BRG9 FD is the subcompact, carry-ready member of the BRG9 family — a 9mm striker-fired pistol with a 3.18" barrel, 13+1 capacity, a factory optic cut, and ambidextrous controls. Built by BRG Defense and imported exclusively by Universal Imports Inc. (CalibrexArms), the FD packs the BRG9 platform's safety system and forged-steel core into a sub-20-ounce frame that disappears under a cover garment.
Who the BRG9 FD is for
The BRG9 FD targets concealed-carry shooters who don't want to compromise on capacity, optics, or controls. It competes directly with the Glock 43X, Sig P365 XL, S&W Shield Plus, and Springfield Hellcat — but ships with a factory red-dot cut and full ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release at a price point most competitors only match through aftermarket parts.
What makes the BRG9 FD different
Three things set the FD apart in the subcompact 9mm category. First, the slide is factory-cut for a red-dot optic — no aftermarket milling required. Second, both the slide stop and magazine release are fully ambidextrous, so left-handed carriers get correct manual-of-arms without changing parts. Third, the FD uses BRG Defense's patented disassembly system that does not require pulling the trigger — a safety win for daily takedown and cleaning. The barrel and slide are forged steel, rated for approximately 100,000 and 25,000 rounds respectively, with three independent safeties (firing-pin block, trigger safety, grip safety) and loaded-chamber plus striker-status indicators.

Frequently asked questions
Is the BRG9 FD a good concealed-carry pistol?
The BRG9 FD is purpose-built for concealed carry. At 20.28 oz unloaded with a 3.18" barrel and 4.86" height, it carries close to the body in standard CCW holsters. With 13+1 capacity, it carries more rounds than a Glock 43X (10+1) or stock Sig P365 (10+1) while staying inside the same envelope.
Which red-dot optics fit the BRG9 FD?
The FD ships with a factory rear optic cut that accepts common micro red-dot footprints. CalibrexArms recommends confirming your specific dot model and torque spec before mounting; mounting plates are sold separately or with the Gen2 line.
What's the difference between the BRG9 FD and the BRG9 FDX?
The FD and FDX share the same compact frame and 13+1 capacity. The FDX adds a threaded barrel for suppressor or compensator use; the FD ships with a standard non-threaded barrel. If you don't plan to add a suppressor or comp, the FD is the choice.
Does the BRG9 FD ship to my state?
The BRG9 FD ships to FFL dealers in 48 states. It cannot be shipped to California or Massachusetts. In states with magazine-capacity restrictions, the pistol ships with reduced-capacity magazines compliant with state law.
What's covered by the warranty?
The BRG9 FD carries a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Normal wear, reloaded-ammunition damage, and unauthorized modifications are excluded.
